Improving product deliveries through reusable packaging and order consolidation
In April 2023, MWI Animal Health began a reusable tote and order consolidation initiative for customers in select locations. It has been so successful that we are now deploying the program, in a staged approach, across our network.
In the locations where this service is available, our customers will begin receiving all orders via a courier partner in reusable totes on dedicated delivery days (typically 1-2 days per week) — resulting in more reliable, convenient, and sustainable deliveries.
How it works
- Customers submit their orders in their usual way.
- Customers will receive their orders in reusable totes via our courier partner, reducing the cardboard boxes and packing paper cluttering up your office!
- Deliveries will be consolidated to dedicated delivery days*, providing more consistency and better business resiliency. This means you can expect your orders to arrive on the same day(s) each week, making it easier to plan and manage your inventory.
- Couriers will pick up the reusable totes during the next scheduled delivery, ensuring that we're doing our part to reduce waste and environmental impact.
*Off-cycle orders will be shipped via FedEx or UPS in traditional boxed packaging and may incur an additional fee.
